Engaging Donors with
STEM Education Innovation
STEM education — science, technology, engineering and math — is now an vital component of secular K-12 education programs.
The nonprofit Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education (CIJE) spearheaded and implemented innovative STEM programs in the U.S. years before based on Israeli school curricula. It implements these programs at more than 200 U.S. day schools.
CIJE retained A. Lavin Communications to solve several problems. First, the organization recognized that CIJE wasn’t a great name and needed to explore alternatives as well as increase awareness for its innovative programs to attract more donors.
While the name stayed the same, the collateral materials, a new website, and several videos that we produced touting their one-of-a-kind programs, vastly improved CIJE’s brand awareness.
As a result of our firm’s earned media campaign, virtually every education and Jewish media outlet has run features on CIJE. Working closely with their partner schools, we ensured that CIJE was no longer omitted from coverage about each school’s innovative STEM program on TV and in print publicity.
